Reclaimed and upcycled original features
The interior and design of Nightingale Shepherd Huts are bespoke pieces of work. Time is taken to source reclaimed materials that are upcycled and renovated for all the huts. The huts have included: one hundred year old oak framed leaded windows, old stained glass windows, original vintage latches and fittings. The stable or french doors are not reclaimed and are handmade from hardwood, the floors, walls and ceilings are rockwool insulated. The walls and ceilings are clad in pine tongue and groove and painted. The walls are constructed from 2†x 2†treated timber and clad in weather proof ply, which in turn is wrapped in a water resistant breathable membrane. The exterior is made from feather board which can be natural or stained.
The chassis is made from a steel frame work.
In addition electrics, wood burners, handmade fold up tables, cupboards, shelves, balcony’s or beds can be fitted.
These Shepherd huts do not require planning consent and can be fully mobile, therefore if you move you can take them with you!
