About Nightingale Shepherd Huts

Nightingale Shepherd huts was created a few years ago when my son was born. I wanted to develop my skills, push the business into a new direction and spend more time with the family. I have always had an interest in wooden buildings, sheds, shacks, lodges and summer houses. The Shepherd Huts are made in the beautiful country side of East Sussex and are made from reclaimed and upcycled materials where possible. The structures are made to a high standard and the huts are based on the idea of an old Shepherds Hut. These were used for many centuries to provide accommodation for the shepherd during lambing season. Nowadays these Shepherd Huts are being made to be used for an additional bedroom, guest room, office, studio, children’s playroom, glamping venture or garden retreat.

Nightingale Shepherd Huts are not constrained to the ideas of a traditional hut and we are always challenging ourselves to make something unique for the customer working with them every step of the way. Some of our huts are constructed on site due to access restrictions, some do not have wheels due to height restrictions or client’s choice, and some have verandas and balconies. Whatever your vision Nightingale Shepherd Huts can make it come to life.
